The Taipan Veteran is an exemplary PCP air rifle with a popular bullpup design. All Taipan air rifles are assembled and finished in the Czech Republic. The workmanship is top-notch, thanks to the precise machining of parts on modern CNC machines. The Standard variant is the best-selling model of this air rifle. It offers an ideal balance between good handling, accuracy, and cartridge capacity. The length of the rifle is only 705 mm, but due to the bullpup design, it has a long barrel length of 460 mm. Taipan air rifles use barrels from renowned brands such as Česká Zbrojovka or Lothar Walther. At the muzzle, there is a 1/2 UNF thread, on which an effective noise moderator is screwed, making the shooting surprisingly quiet.
The cartridge, which runs almost the entire length of the rifle, has a capacity of 291 cm³ of air and is equipped with a clear Wika manometer for easy pressure monitoring. For mounting a scope, there is a 22 mm Weaver rail, which is inclined by 20 MOA, making this rifle ideal for long-distance shooting.
The air rifle is loaded using a side lever mechanism that is very precise and easy to operate. This version has undergone several innovations. The first is that it is not possible to double-load a pellet, preventing accidental barrel blockage. The second innovation concerns the barrel and the air hole, which are designed to prevent pellet deformation. The charging lever can also be moved to the other side, which left-handed shooters will appreciate.
